Does God really listen to our prayers?

Does God really listen to our prayers?

Little kids, adolescents, whenever they don't get anything from their parents, it is natural for them to make statements "You never give me anything. You don't like me." It is difficult for them to understand and analyse, why parents are not accepting the request at that particular moment.

Same is the case with completely grown up adults. Whenever we wish for something, if we don't get it, we , without any second thought blame GOD. Why is God not listening to me. God is not real. Does God really listen...ohh what not... we go a step further than the adolescents.

But, lets know the truth what Krishna mentions about prayers in Bhagavad Gita, chapter 4, shloka 12.

काङ्क्षन्तः कर्मणां सिद्धिं यजन्त इह देवताः।

क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा।।4.12।।

kāṅkṣantaḥ karmaṇāṅ siddhiṅ yajanta iha dēvatāḥ.

kṣipraṅ hi mānuṣē lōkē siddhirbhavati karmajā৷৷4.12৷

Meaning - Whenever you desire results for worldly actions and worship the Gods, immediately your worldly desire is fulfilled.

We are provided with comfortable basic needs, infact luxurious needs whenever we had asked for. But, what is it that God is not answering. Everyday, we breathe, we walk, we live, we eat, we enjoy all the worldly things.

So, let's have faith, understand what we are asking for, lets wait and observe what God gives us. Lets not get too attached to the work and result.

Because, sometimes, our ask might be something that is related for our growth and evolution and not related to worldly matters. After all, it is either for Krishna or for our favourite God, ultimately the plan is to give the best, like any other parent to the little kid.

So, lets be patient unlike the adolescents or little kids, and always understand the ask and have steady faith. Its Krishna's promise that your desire will be fulfilled. He is just within you. Wait and watch.
