Getting a perfect circle chapati is a major test in a girl's life. Whoever lands up for meals at home, the new daughter-in-law is immediately tested at the skill of getting a shape of the chapati. Infact, the whole Atlas book comes into the kitchen while trying for a circle. Lol!! Once my mother-in-law and myself had a competition not on who will make more chapatis but on who will make perfect circle chapatis. At the end of the competition, we discussed how did we get the perfect shape. I told her, I remembered my mom and I surrendered to her style as I make and I actually imitated her way of making the chapati. She said, she remembered someone else and she was also constantly concentrating, looking and observing to make it perfect.
Well, if we have to make things or tasks perfect, we remember someone who does that particular task perfectly well and we try to imitate that style consciously or unconsciously. How can we keep searching for a perfectionist in every task? What if we have a constant person whom we can remember and leave everything to them and try only for perfection? Why not!! Its our Krishna!!
Krishna says in Chapter 8, shloka 7 about surrender and dedication to him
तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु मामनुस्मर युध्य च।
मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्मामेवैष्यस्यसंशयम्।।8.7।।
tasmātsarvēṣu kālēṣu māmanusmara yudhya ca.
mayyarpitamanōbuddhirmāmēvaiṣyasyasaṅśayam৷৷8.7৷৷
Meaning - Therefore, every moment, every time, before fighting, remember me, surrender to me, your mind, your intelligence, you can surely achieve what you have to.
Imagine a boy, who had to recite a poem in front of a huge audience and he is shivering with stage fear. It so happens that the boy holds on to his dear friend's hand and recites flawlessly. What did the friend's hand give to the boy? Exactly the same thing we experience if we surrender to Krishna, we hold on to our dear lord's hand.
Just knowing a shloka is not enough for us, we need to experiment it, and experience it. Why not, try a task or two by remembering our dear God and then start the task. Offer it to him like the naivedyam and then start the work. Let's check our work style. Let's check our consciousness. Is this not the way we perfect ourselves every day , little by little? Lets ponder and explore on this shloka today.

When we are born, we r clean slates …then we start learning, mainly thru imitation.
So once the awareness sets in…lt is possible to take a conscious step in choosing the right n the perfect to perfect ourselves …

I appreciate this idea of 1 min read. It’s helpful and easier to implement in every day task. Personally I would start my day by reciting a sloka and from now on I would head on to 1 min reads .
