Inclusiveness is the key for networking

When the world is moving around AI, and running to understand AI, that person will be successful who as well can understand the importance of networking with humans at human level.

My new year 2025 had started meeting scores of business people across various fields as I got the opportunity to present myself as the life coach and founder of thesecreti.in in the BNI weekly meeting. Being an entrepreneur of this age, I consider visiting the BNI meet as a privilege and a great exposure on understanding the grounded value of networking. I was invited by our dear friend Srigopal Sharma., who is a member of BNI. While inviting, he had explained the process of how BNI Global works. I should appreciate the transparency that I had experienced. The process explained to me and what I experienced was the same.

There were no false propagandas, no biased promotions, but only creation of clear win-win environment. When the members of an organisation speak the same culture, promote the same culture, live the same culture, the organisation lives longer. It proves in case of BNI as it celebrates 40 years on 8th Jan.

In today's AI world, diversion and distraction is the most common challenge for entrepreneurs. The availability of ample information in hand take us away from 'self' and our 'mission'. I believe, new age networking should fill this gap and BNI had established this years before.

I would like to quote some of the observations as a visitor during the weekly meet -

The clear focus reminds ourselves to keep the ball in our court to live and breath the purpose ,

1. Establish credibility

2. Prove your confidence

3. Responsible referrals - work - move forward together - Follow this cyclical approach.

With such inclusive supportive saatvic networking ecosystem, the members definitely reach the goal with respect, through union of thought, word and deed.

At the end I got connected to the Bhagavad Gita shloka -

ऊर्ध्वं गच्छन्ति सत्त्वस्था मध्ये तिष्ठन्ति राजसाः। जघन्यगुणवृत्तिस्था अधो गच्छन्ति तामसाः।।14.18।।

ūrdhvaṅ gacchanti sattvasthā madhyē tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ. jaghanyaguṇavṛttisthā adhō gacchanti tāmasāḥ৷৷14.18৷৷

Meaning -  Sattva qualities help in evolving to higher levels, rajasic qualities result in staying in the middle level and thamasic qualities lead to degraded levels. 

To simply put, repeat this universal truth, and follow the approach, if you want to move to higher levels in life.
