Heading an organisation needs this - Whether a home or a workplace

Actually, what does it mean to head a home? For a newly wed couple, who had set up new home in a metro is all exciting. To stay together, curiosity builds up, to make the best home and to be the best couple ever. Every small thing is a great thing. Every small news is interesting and every situation is so loving.

As days go by, when the family becomes more in number, due to parents inclusion, kids inclusion, extended family inclusion, the sweet newly wed lady slowly becomes the head of the home, GRUHALAKSHMI, as we say in our culture. She takes the front seat and ensures, the ecosystem of the family is all good, with respect to the mental health. To encourage Lakshmi , goodness in any form, to not just enter in the house in many ways, but to flourish, the psychological aspect of each and every family member is taken care of. She patiently and actively listens to the mindful and mindless thoughts of the family and makes things work smoothly.

She just not only listens to the stories, but also re-makes the stories, she portrays the stories in a new developing perspective, which means, she makes the mindset of the whole family. She can embrace the younger generation as well as the elder generation and the same generation. Infact, neither gender nor generation is a bias for her. Adaptation is by default a mind skill she attains. She can master all this through analysing the psychological aspect of the family - psychological analysis of team.

To give the right solution, she meditates into every aspect of the problem. She passes on her wisdom to the next generation as well...keeping it alive through generations. sa ta ra  - culmination of all qualities in a good effective way is stree in Indian culture

To withstand every rejection in the family and to still move on to evolve and adapt, her strength is in her prayers, her trust is in the ultimate. She spreads "Never give up attitude - determined and dedicated". Any ups and downs by the Gruhalakshmi , the stree in the house, the whole house faces the trauma. The more balanced she is, the more blissful and financially full, the house is.

The organisational heads replicate the similar structure of an Indian family structure. The CEOs and the CFOs take up the charge of psycological element , as their every word impacts the stakeholders' and shareholders' mindset.

The heads of the organisation, have to understand the stories happening within the organisation, have to make stories, portray stories for an improved evolution. Which means, they make the mindset of the company, the share holders mindset and the whole sector's. The work that goes into the mindset change of the CEO and CFO like top managerial leaders is tremendous. 1 book of their journey speaks 100s of volumes about their mindset workout. And people love to read the stories they unravel. We are more interested in what exactly is the right process to deal a situation, what is the right step and what is the wrong step. We all love to evolve towards emotional balance.

Being Indians, it is very natural for us to know more about emotional balance as our very own land's culture talks about evolution and balance. Every ceo or cfo or a start-up aspirant or a stree in the house have to make things clear for themselves with the help of wise words or wise reads. They should make the reviving of the ways of categorising the right way and wrong way, simpler.

Krishna mentions in Bhagavad Gita, that nature has by default, 3 qualities in it. Saatvik, rajasic and thamasic. Every creature's nature revolves around these 3 qualities described by Krishna. Krishna says about the 3 qualities in Chapter 14,

रजस्तमश्चाभिभूय सत्त्वं भवति भारत।

रजः सत्त्वं तमश्चैव तमः सत्त्वं रजस्तथा।।14.10।।

rajastamaścābhibhūya sattvaṅ bhavati bhārata.

rajaḥ sattvaṅ tamaścaiva tamaḥ sattvaṅ rajastathā৷৷14.10৷৷

Meaning - Sometimes goodness (sattva) prevails over passion (rajas) and ignorance (tamas). Sometimes passion (rajas) dominates goodness (sattva) and ignorance (tamas), and at other times ignorance (tamas) overcomes goodness (sattva) and passion (rajas).

ऊर्ध्वं गच्छन्ति सत्त्वस्था मध्ये तिष्ठन्ति राजसाः।

जघन्यगुणवृत्तिस्था अधो गच्छन्ति तामसाः।।14.18।।

ūrdhvaṅ gacchanti sattvasthā madhyē tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ.

jaghanyaguṇavṛttisthā adhō gacchanti tāmasāḥ৷৷14.18৷৷

Meaning -  Sattva qualities help in evolving to higher levels, rajasic qualities result in staying in the middle level and thamasic qualities lead to degraded levels.

So, it is clear that when one quality is dominant, the other two qualities lay dormant. And it is truly on us to which level we want to move and follow that related and particular quality.

The gruhalakshmi in the house teaches us the strategies to be a good organisational head.

  • She balances the psychological aspect of the family (team)
  • No bias with age and gender
  • Great problem solving skills
  • Facing rejection with never give-up attitude
  • Continuous wishes for prosperous nature for everyone within her family (team).

Observing these qualities in her and how patiently she follows all these, by the members in the house make them so matured and good human beings. My question is, what is the basis for all this? Are there any specified rules which can be followed without any confusion? Krishna says in chapter 17, Bhagavad Gita

आहारस्त्वपि सर्वस्य त्रिविधो भवति प्रियः।

यज्ञस्तपस्तथा दानं तेषां भेदमिमं श्रृणु।।17.7।।

 āhārastvapi sarvasya trividhō bhavati priyaḥ.

yajñastapastathā dānaṅ tēṣāṅ bhēdamimaṅ śrṛṇu৷৷17.7৷৷

Meaning - Even the food we eat is of 3 qualities, the sacrifices, manners and charity as well is of 3 qualities. Listen to the details of each quality.

Oh!! Did Krishna, really  listen to my question? This is like as if Krishna is giving me the readymade solution. Then why not read and find out the secrets from the most successful man ever, Krishna.

To make things simpler in this blog, I shall continue the rest of the wisdom Krishna transferred  through His wise words, in my next blog. Happy reading and analysing.

Lets together learn the secrets and implement Bhagavad Gita and stay sattvikly confident.

Neither I know much about Gita nor I read. But the articles make it easy to understand and know the importance of Lord Krishna words.

Yes Keerthi. You rightly connected a family and an organisation. A successful organisation or a successful family needs a head who runs it with a lot of understanding, capable of balancing all .👌👍
